It was announced today that the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation is overseeing the new build of a permanent space in the heart of New Orleans. Opening at 129 Camp Street, the spot, named Storyteller x Tales (Storyteller by Tales), aims to “attract national and international talent to New Orleans, bringing global perspective and insights…”
The foundation, which oversees the annual Tales of the Cocktail event in New Orleans, as well as Tales on Tour and a handful of other Tales-related gatherings around the world, hopes the dual event/cocktail bar location will offer the opportunity for year-round support of the bartending community.
“This initiative is going to significantly expand the footprint of Tales of the Cocktail Foundation,” said Gary Solomon Jr., Co-Chair of the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Board of Directors. “Historically, the organization was able to reach this audience of both industry and enthusiasts alike a few weeks a year, and now, we’ll be able to further the Foundation’s efforts to educate, advance, and support the community 365 days a year, on a broader scale.”
As The New Orleans Advocate notes, it’s another move for the foundation in a year of change.
A tentative opening is penciled for February, 2019.
