I want you to imagine a firing range where the Skeeball used to be…

I’m feeling a little tongue-in-cheeky today, if you couldn’t tell. In my perusal of news, I had to snicker at a little news bit over on the Restaurant News Resource site this afternoon. It seems maybe the natives over at Chuck E. Cheese were getting out of control – so they had to call in the big guns.

CEC Entertainment, Inc. announced that retired four-star U.S. Army General Tommy Franks has been elected to its board of directors effective March 26, 2008.

Seems a little drastic to call in the Army, don’t you think? *smile*

The new man in command served both in Afghanistan and Iraq, and has been awarded a whole host of distinguished awards during his military time. Surprisingly, he’s has previous restaurant experience, formerly holding a position on the Board of Directors for OSI Restaurant Partners, Inc., the parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Bonefish Grill.
