'Top Gun' Restaurant Goes Up In Smoke

Anyone remember Tom Cruise before he became Cruise-ay? I’m talking back in the Top Gun days, where Tom could sing and needed only his wingman to succeed in life!

Unfortunately, MSNBC is reporting that this morning the San Diego restaurant where the famous Cruise crooning scene was filmed caught fire. According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the restaurant was “destroyed”, with the fire starting at an open cooking pit and quickly spreading to the restaurant’s interior.

Apparently the restaurant had a sign noting that the 1986 movie’s “sleazy bar scene” was filmed there. Apparently they weren’t so Cruise-ay either.
