Emily Kaiser, Associate Food Editor over at Food & Wine, has a great post on the latest James Beard Foundation dinner, featuring chefs Jeremy and Deanie Fox of Southern California’s Ubuntu restaurant. The first vegetarian dinner in more than 20 years for the foundation, Chef Fox, named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs this year, thrilled with saucy combinations featuring macadamias, watermelon, and grits. According to Kaiser, Deanie, the restaurant’s pastry chef, followed up with fantastic vegan carrot cupcakes.
