English Expands With Food Court at NYC’s Plaza Hotel

Chef Todd English is taking a surprising turn by making his next restaurant development – a food court! It was announced last week that the celebrity chef has partnered with New York’s prestigious Plaza Hotel to develop a high-end version of the mall favorite. The 5,400 square foot location, christened The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English, will include eight food stations offering a mix of dishes, including sushi, burgers, and pizza. Retail food and kitchen items will also be available for purchase within the space.

“I’m delighted to be collaborating with The Plaza to bring a truly unique concept to this landmark building,” English said in a statement this week. “I look forward to bringing some of the finest foods from around the world to The Plaza for guests to enjoy.”

I’ll be interested to see how it fares in the Plaza location.

English, well known for his Olives eateries, just recently opened an arm of his Beso restaurant in the newly-christened Las Vegas CityCenter.
